Made my day

I went this morning for my 37 week sonogram to determine how big this baby is. The doctor told me several weeks ago that if he was measuring 8.5 lbs. or bigger at 37 weeks, then he would induce me at 38 weeks. Well, (drum roll) the lady made my day! She says baby is measuring 8 lbs. 8 oz. according to her calculations! Yay! I go tomorrow morning to see the doc and I'm counting on him telling me that he will induce me next Wednesday, Oct. 22nd. My mom is scheduled to fly in on Tuesday. I hope it all goes this way or I will be very disappointed.

I have been having all sorts of fun cramping (aka Braxton Hicks) and sleeping is becoming quite a problem. I know I toss and turn from side to side and then get up and go to the bathroom. Keith says it is quite distracting. Poor guy!

Jared celebrated his 5th Birthday on Monday. He is with his Daddy Joe in Florida. Joe is getting married to a very nice woman tomorrow. I am happy for him. Jared will be home Friday afternoon and we will celebrate his birthday as a family Friday night and then Saturday afternoon he will have his Star Wars Party with his friends. I can hardly believe that my little guy is Five! I would have never imagined I would be pregnant with my third baby 5 years from the time he was born. My life has changed in so many ways and I have been truly blessed. I know that Jared is a big reason for all of this. He gave me the strength to make some tough decisions. I am so grateful for his sweet spirit. He is such a smart boy and I love watching him grow. I miss him terribly when he is gone, but I know that he is with people who love him and that he will be home soon.

So, I need to find some energy to get some things done around this house. I will update on my doctor's appointment tomorrow and hope that next Wednesday I will give birth to a beautiful baby boy!
